Gemmotherapy workshop of the olive tree with Plantes et Cie

Gemmotherapy uses the buds and young shoots of plants to improve health and well-being. Buds are considered parts of the plant with a high concentration of active ingredients, enzymes and nutrients, which makes them more effective than other parts of the plant.
This alternative therapy is often used to treat chronic disorders, autoimmune diseases, and emotional health issues. It is also used to strengthen the immune system, reduce inflammation, promote cell regeneration and improve blood circulation.
The buds are harvested during the plant’s growing season, then macerated in a mixture of water, alcohol and glycerin for several weeks.
This maceration allows the active principles of the plant to be released and to concentrate in the solution.
Gemmotherapy preparations can be taken as drops, tablets or tinctures, depending on the individual needs of the patient. The doses and the duration of the treatment vary according to the type of plant used and the state of health of the patient.
Plants most commonly used in gemmotherapy include black currant bud, pine bud, birch bud, oak bud, and fig tree bud.
