Natural history museum of Ardèche : fossils and dinosaurs







In a bright, modern decor, more than 600 original fossils tell the story of the rocks and landscapes of Ardèche. Embark on an unusual journey through 500 million years of history. This adventure is suitable for young children too, thanks to the explanations provided and to the labOdino!
Rochemaure castle

Perched high above the Rhône valley on its volcanic neck, Rochemaure castle has still not yielded all its secrets. It was probably built by the Adhémar family from Montélimar between the 11th and 12th centuries. The old village is well worth a visit and offers marvellous views over the river.
Castle of Vogüé

Aven d’Orgnac is a French “Grand Site” whose natural wonder is breath-taking! Join us for the Prehistory City, and the gigantic cave itself. Lots of different events are offered, an international exhibition!
Sainte Marie’s abbey-church


The abbey is a jewel of Romanesque art in Ardèche. It bears witness to the turbulent history of the former abbey of Cruas. Don’t miss this beautiful place.
Its very rare monastic gallery rediscovered 50 years ago, as well as its crypt and the mosaic.
Domaine Olivier de Serres

Experience 16th century agriculture over the seasons through texts by Olivier de Serres, an icon of modern agronomy.

This castle’s medieval and renaissance architecture is unique to the area. It is open to the public all year long except in February. During the summer there are guided tours and medieval activities. Documentation in English.

Experience 16th century farming through the seasons thanks to the texts written by Olivier de Serres, an icon of modern agronomy. Guided and commented tours.
Classified an ‘Etape Savoureuse’ of Ardèche. Come and sample wines, juice, and goat cheese, all produced on the farm.
