Cosmetic products with donkey milk from Camin'âne

Stéphanie, a donkey breeder since 2017, has gradually built up her herd of 30 donkeys, which she raises on the Coiron plateau in the Ardèche region, between Darbres and primarily in Berzème.

“In the herd, each individual has its role. There are the sturdy ones, good for short or long-distance hikes; others, with their calm and gentle nature, are used for animal-assisted therapy with vulnerable or disabled individuals; and then there are the largest and strongest, for carrying heavy loads. And the next generation! A few young donkeys that I’m training and that will stay with the herd to work and eventually take over from the older ones.

Then there are the mothers who provide me with their milk during milking season. It was during the weaning of a foal that I discovered that milking is a moment of true sharing, where a relationship of trust develops between the mother, the breeder, and her offspring.” I then realized it was possible! That’s how the story of Camin’âne cosmetics began…

I started milking a donkey in the summer of 2023 and I entrust the milk to the soap makers’ laboratory in Les Mages, in the Gard region, who have expertise in processed products.

I have selected, and among these products you will find, a face cream, a body lotion, a shampoo, soaps, and solid shampoo.
