Equestrian farm Le Relais de Vazeille

Deep in Southern Ardèche, close to major tourist sites (Vallon Pont d’Arc, Gorges de l’Ardèche, Grotte Chauvet), take a dive in the heart of untouched nature. Our horses, worked regularly, will lead you with their sure steps, through the oak scrub or along the vineyards, along ridge lines or at the bottom of the valleys, for an unforgettable ride and gallops.
A 6-box barn allows horses to be prepared in complete safety and shelter.
The 50x30m panoramic arena is ideal for starting with confidence or improving on the flat, over obstacles, in varied terrain and discovering the methods and practice of ethological riding.
After the horse has been prepared by its rider, each session begins with work on foot next to the horse, ideal for observing it, beginning to understand it and gaining confidence before getting on its back. Beginners who want to go for a ride will systematically start with a short session in the arena to learn the basics of horse riding in order to respect the animal for which they take responsibility.
People who are “oversized”: too small (children under 12), too tall (> 1.90m), too heavy (> 80kg) will not be able to ride on the backs of the horses: a fun session on foot with a horse may be offered to them.
Clothing suitable for horse riding is required: closed shoes (no flip-flops, sandals, etc.) and LONG pants (no short leggings or shorts).
We welcome children from 12 years old: the cavalry is not suitable for younger children.

Passionate about horses, I have always wanted to share my interest in these extraordinary animals. I never tire of learning more about their abilities and sensitivity every day and I am committed to helping my clients discover their ability to feel our emotions and heal our flaws.

A few hundred meters from the gîte, you will discover grape varieties characteristic of our terroir such as Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay... You can, if you wish, book a horseback ride to take you there. We will also be happy to recommend some winegrowers who can help you taste their production and share their passion with you.
