Sport Nature Saint Jean

The Sport Nature Saint Jean association was founded in the summer of 2020, the brainchild of four friends passionate about outdoor sports, in the town of Saint Jean le Centenier. With the increasing popularity of outdoor sports, a structure was needed to organize these activities in the Berg and Coiron region. This challenge has been met so far, thanks in particular to a close-knit and dedicated team of leaders and volunteers.

Running:
Club affiliated with the French Athletics Federation (FFA)

Training sessions: Tuesdays at the St Jean stadium at 6:45 pm, and Thursdays at the Villeneuve de Berg sports hall track at 6:45 pm. Weekend outings.

Tuesday hikes:

These are more challenging hikes than the monthly weekend hikes. – Gradually, hikes will extend up to 20km.

– The meeting point will always be the St. Jean stadium at 9:00 AM.
– Dogs are not allowed.
– Bring your own picnic lunch.
– Wear hiking boots.

Weekends are for hiking and mountain biking.

With over 85 members in 2024, the association brings together members from diverse backgrounds and age groups.

Thanks to the ability-based groups, everyone can thrive according to their desires, skill level, and abilities.

This association project is driven by a board and numerous active members, a strong core team that collaborates and coordinates weekly to offer engaging and regular activities.

Our goals for 2025-2026:

– Organization of the Drôme-Ardèche departmental cross-country race at Domaine du Pradel on January 11th
– Juliau Trail: April 19th, 2026, with 3 courses: 46km, 11km, and 21km

– French Trail Running Championships in Bédoin on Mont Ventoux in March 2026
– French Mountain Running Championships in early May
– Participation in local races and hikes (trail running, mountain biking, and hiking)
