Le Château – Centre d’Art Contemporain et du Patrimoine d’Aubenas

The Château d’Aubenas recently completed an ambitious restoration project and opened its doors to the public as a Center for Contemporary Art and Heritage in the summer of 2024. After seven years of renovation work, this beautifully restored historic site has breathed new life into this jewel of medieval architecture. Now a true meeting place where heritage and contemporary creation converge, the Château offers a varied program featuring exhibitions, tours, and cultural events, with the goal of making this site a must-see destination in the Ardèche.

Each year, several temporary exhibitions—both solo and group shows—will showcase artists of all backgrounds and generations. At the same time, a vibrant cultural scene will enliven life at the Château: artist residencies, lectures, concerts, and performances.
