Prehistoric activities in May at the Aven d'Orgnac

On the programme:

• Demonstration: The Secrets of Fire
Our guides invite you to watch demonstrations of how to light a fire using percussion or friction – marvel at the magical birth of the flame!
>>> All day, duration: 30 mins. Suitable for all ages, included in the Grand Site Pass

• Prehistoric hunting workshop
Discover reconstructions of prehistoric weapons and learn to hunt with spears and spear-throwing devices. Our guides are on hand to show you the right techniques so you might just turn out to be a prehistoric hunter!
>>> Ages 7 and over – running continuously throughout the afternoon, included in the Grand Site Pass.

• Guided tour with costumed guide: “The Mysterious Chest”
Come and explore prehistory in a different way by setting off in search of a mysterious prehistoric object in the Cité. Accompanied by an archaeologist and his time machine, will you be able to solve the riddle?
>>> at 10.30 am – duration 1 hour 15 mins – recommended for ages 5–12 – €3 per child, €2 per adult in addition to the Grand Site Pass or Cité de la Préhistoire ticket
