Information

Description

On March 3, 1944, all the inhabitants of the hamlet of Les Crottes in Labastide-de-Virac, Ardèche, were shot by German soldiers of the 9th SS Panzer Division, under the pretext of having sheltered members of the Resistance. Fifteen inhabitants lived there, but sixteen bodies were found. There was one man “extra,” a young man, who was buried discreetly for fear the SS would return. Who was this unknown man? Seventy-five years later, Olivier Bertrand investigates. Accompanied by projections of the traces he discovered along his journey (drawings, photos, sounds, videos), he immerses us in the epic story of an atypical, heroic, and reckless resistance group. A performance that allows the audience to grasp, before the post-show discussions, the questions of commitment and the Resistance, of passing on knowledge, of silence, and of memory.
