Exposition: Francine DOMART-BROAGE
Information
Description
I use the same paper as for wet watercolors. My brushes are very sharp because each subject requires hundreds of brushstrokes to paint the fur and feathers of my animals, as well as the finesse of plant motifs, reflections, the sparkle in an animal’s eye, and more. Watercolor paper is somewhat absorbent, so there’s no room for error. You can always darken a color, but not lighten it, and even less erase it. I also use canvas as a support for my acrylic and oil paintings. I remain at your disposal for any additional information. With this technique, I leave the white of the paper for a cat’s whiskers!
On April 1, 1985, my husband and I founded Atelier Broage in Villeurbanne (Rhône), decorating porcelain with exclusive motifs.
Various regional exhibitions and the La Création market in Lyon. Then, in 1989, glass decoration, still with exclusive designs.
Premier trade shows in Paris and Nuremberg (for 20 years), and the Agricultural Show (also for 20 years).
In 1992, the workshop moved to Bresse (Sâone et Loire), alongside porcelain and glass decoration, creating watercolors (dry), as well as oil and acrylic paintings on canvas.
