THE ELECTRIC VENUS:
Paris, 1928. Since his wife’s death, the painter Antoine Balestro has been unable to create, much to the despair of his gallery owner, Armand. One drunken evening, he tries to contact his deceased wife during a séance. But behind the seer hides Suzanne, a young carnival worker who has come to steal food. Gifted at deception and soon aided by Armand, she arranges numerous false meetings. While Antoine rediscovers his inspiration, Suzanne gradually falls in love with him.
