Castanea tells in great detail the story of how for centuries, entire generations daily lives revolved around chestnut trees, both for work and for food.
Find out more about this emblematic “bread tree”. Castanea is beautiful located in a former convent in medieval town of Joyeuse. The museum shop offers you a wide range of local chestnut delicacys, postcards, books….

Every Friday during the summer, at the end of the day, relive the discovery of the Aven d’Orgnac cave, following in the footsteps of “Robert de Joly” (brought to life by a guide). A narrated, historical tour of that day in August 1935 when the cave was revealed to the world!

For one week, the États généraux du film documentaire (General Assembly of Documentary Film) transforms the village of Lussas into a place for meetings and exchanges around documentary film for all audiences and professionals: 130 films, meetings, seminars, professional days, workshops…

Screening organized as part of the États généraux du film documentaire (General Assembly of Documentary Film) (taking place from August 16 to 22).
