The particularity of the steeple of Saint Germain is that it has a statue of the Virgin in memory of the cholera epidemic that struck the village in the late XIXth century. Saint Germain had the cultivation of hemp (which gave its name to the place “chanabiers”). The village is surrounded by a plain rich in farming.
