The valley of Ibie (30 km long) starts at the foot of the Coiron and ends at its meeting with the Ardèche River near Vallon Pont d'Arc. The Ibie is a river dried up most of the year, but people enjoying swimming know the “hole of the moon" (water retention of a former mill). There is also a double waterfall, that people fond of waterfalls know (gour of Sompe at the Chadenède). Kingdom of limestone, the valley of Ibie is cultivated with vineyards and lavender. The village consists of stone houses with character and has many alleys with footbridges in which one loves walking. Houses with "Couradou" (terrace covered with arcade) reveal a Sericultural (culture of silkworm) and spinning craft past. The church of St Maurice d'Ibie has kept its Romanesque porch of the XIIth with big concentric arching.
